Maximum Edge CIC Celebrating a Decade of Strengthening Communities

Maximum Edge CIC is proud to mark 10 years of supporting individuals and communities to improve wellbeing, confidence, and life opportunities. Since launching in 2016, the organisation has stayed true to its mission—helping people overcome barriers and fulfil their potential—even amid major sector changes, reduced funding, and the impact of Covid.

Rooted in St Helens but reaching far beyond, Maximum Edge has expanded its support across the Liverpool City Region, Greater Manchester, and international audiences through digital resources.

Over the years, the organisation has grown its offer to include:

  • Face‑to‑face workshops
  • Digital content and podcasts
  • Guided Journals on Health, Relationships & Acceptance
  • Staff and volunteer wellbeing programmes
  • Social value support for businesses
  • Foodbank and excess stock redistribution

These initiatives promote better mental health by reducing financial stress, increasing dignity, and strengthening community connections.

Ten years is just the beginning,” says Managing Director Dave Sheridan. Maximum Edge looks forward to building new partnerships and opportunities in the years ahead—continuing its mission to empower the communities it serves.
