LOOSE, a registered local charity established in 2013 and a non-profit company founded in 2008, is looking to recruit additional Directors to help guide and support its ongoing work for the benefit of the local community.
Based at The Studio on Lacey Street, Widnes, the organisation owns and manages the building as a community asset, providing a welcoming space for a wide range of activities. With a strong focus on arts and creativity, LOOSE delivers three music sessions each week for young people, which are free to attend and consistently attract excellent participation. Donations are welcomed where possible but are never expected where they may cause hardship.
The Studio is also home to a variety of community groups and activities. These include weekly sessions for young people taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award programme, alongside long-running partnerships such as the Halton Borough Council Samba Band. For the past ten years, the venue has hosted weekly daytime samba sessions for adults with additional needs, helping to promote inclusion, creativity and social connection.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in supporting a well-established community organisation and helping shape its future development.
