We’re hiring for our Mobile Community Food Pantry:
1 x Driver/Pantry Assistant (pt 30hrs)

The Driver/Pantry Assistant role will be a part time post for 30 hours per week and may include some evening and weekend work as required by the responsibilities of the role. The salary: £19,147 per year depending on experience.
The role is to ensure the smooth, effective and regular delivery of the Mobile Food Pantry to the four locations attended by the St Helens Mobile Food Pantry and collection of necessary stock from multiple sites, along with stock control, rotation and preparation at our food storage site. Supporting the pantry coordinator with completing admin and compliance documentation and associated tasks.
Location: It is expected that the successful candidate will spend a significant amount of time with local community groups and organisations where the pantry is delivered from alongside being onsite at the food storage site where the supply of food is stored.
The post will benefit from induction training with Halton & St Helens VCA that will cover both internal policies and practices. Other training to be undertaken within the first 3 months include Basic Food Hygiene Level 2, Health & Safety and Dynamic Risk Assessment training.
Temporary position until 30th June 2025 with a possibility of a further 3 years dependant on successful funding application.
