Important New DHSC Grant Funding News

Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) are launching a £10 million grant fund in the next few months, open to any voluntary, community or social enterprise organisation seeking funding for projects or activities related to suicide prevention and supporting those affected by suicide, across 2023-24 to 2024-25.

Applications are invited from organisations large and small, but smaller, community-led groups are strongly encouraged to apply. You also do not have to be an organisation whose core business is suicide prevention.

Please sign up to the “Find a Grant” portal, if you have not already, so that you are notified once it is launched.

More Information From DHSC

The broad purpose of the fund will be two-fold. Firstly, to support the VCSE sector to meet the increased demand, in part brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic and the Cost of Living. Secondly, to support development of innovative preventative activities/services aimed at people at elevated risk of suicide.

At the time of the launch, DHSC will publish guidance to help organisations to apply to the grant. This will set out the eligibility criteria, their objectives and what is required as part of the application process. Following the launch, they will host webinar/s (online) to answer any questions from prospective applicants.
