Halton Health Improvement Team have a new programme of health related training for January to March 2024 for Halton organisations.
Our training programme is designed to create a network of local Health Champions, whose role is to promote healthy lifestyles and inspire others to take a more active role in their health. They are sources of information on all aspects of health and wellbeing, can signpost to services and offer support to make positive behavioural changes

Do you want to lead your own Health Walk, or assist with an existing walk in Widnes or Runcorn? Walk Leader training might be for you.
Training and support will help equip you to be an amazing walk leader. No exam/test, just common-sense, practicalities and ideas. T

Halton Residents Health And Wellbeing Survey
Halton Borough Council has commissioned The University of Chester Department of Public Health and Wellbeing to conduct a health and wellbeing survey. By understanding what residents feel is important to them in their health and wellbeing, Halton Borough Council can better shape their health and wellbeing support services in future. This survey is for adults living in Halton. One person in the household over the age of 18 is invited to complete the survey.
Walking Football - MS Society and Everton in the Community
The MS Society and Everton in the Community are hosting a Walking Football session for anyone affected by MS (including family and friends).
Walking Football is a great way to keep active, make new friends and learn new skills. This is a fun, inclusive session for people affected by MS. Sessions and is open to all regardless of age or ability.
Monday May 22nd 12-2pm at the Peoples Hub, Spellow Lane, L4 4DF.

Active Halton Health Walks (April - June 2023)
With Wellbeing Walks, you can take part in free short walks to get active, meet new people and explore Halton.

• Short walk for adults with a learning disability and carers Every Monday at 1pm Victoria Park, Widnes, WA8 6SJ Meet the Adult Learning Disability team outside the Café. Call 0151 511 6606 for further info. This is a mainly flat surface walk, approx. 20 minutes.
Halton’s Health Walks scheme
Active Halton want everybody to live happier and healthier lives. You could help to achieve this by Volunteering with Halton’s Health Walks scheme. They need people to lead or support health walks in Widnes and Runcorn, maybe one 30/60/90 minute walk per week.
Full training and support provided.
