Message below from HBC Age Well/ Stronger for Longer team. Request for community groups.
We are hoping to try something new at our June Get Together events by having a community groups marketplace.
The Get Togethers are a social event for over 55s. They are £5 per person and include lunch, an activity themed on an aspect of health and wellbeing and time to chat.
Previously we have held a ‘marketplace’ as the activity with local services attending, however this time we want to try inviting local groups in to share what they do with attendees and hopefully help you to gain some new members. You could have a table with information or sample activities or simply come to chat with the attendees and tell them about your group.
The dates are:
Monday 08 June, 12:30 – 14:30 at Grangeway Community Centre
Tuesday 16 June, 12:30 – 14:30 at Upton Community Centre
Participants are typically enjoying lunch until 13:15, therefore the marketplace will commence around this time.
The Get Together isn’t a large event at the moment so we will be having a limited number of community groups in attendance.
