Halton VCSE Response Meeting 22nd May 2024
Just a reminder that our regular monthly Halton VCFSE Forum has moved to a new day and time so that we can engage more representatives of the sector. All future meetings will be held on Wednesdays from 9.30 to 10.30 when online and 9.30 to 11.30 when in person to allow for more face to face networking.
Understanding What Impacts Mens Mental Health
This free conference aims to shed light on why suicide is the biggest killer of men under 50. The reasons why a man takes his own life is very complex and often misunderstood. With pressures such unemployment, poverty and addiction it is more important than ever to raise awareness of the issues that impact men and what we all can do to help keep our men well.

Halton Funders Fair - Save The Date
Halton Connected would love you to attend our Funders Festival.
The festival will help you learn about how to access funding and resources that will support you to grow and sustain your organisation.
The event will include workshops, a market place, networking opportunities, and a peer support café. We are sourcing local, regional, and national grant providers and funders who want to engage with our voluntary sector organisations across Halton and St Helens, to enable you to continue your vital work.Blood Pressure Champion Training
Halton Health Improvement Team have a Blood Pressure training session on 23rd May at Runcorn Town Hall for Measurement Month and World Hypertension day.
Training is free to Halton workplaces and businesses but there is a charge of £50pp if outside of Halton.

Trinity Safe Space Charity, Halton, Has An Urgent Request
Due to unprecedented large numbers of new arrivals into Trinity Safe Space charity (people seeking asylum, refugees and vulnerable migrants) they are struggling to meet demand for items and do not have enough funding to buy as much as they need for them. Most of them are men.
