Free Workshops with the Cheshire Youth Commission on Police and Crime

John Dwyer, the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire wants to hear from your young people!

The Cheshire Youth Commission members are a diverse group of 14–25-year-olds who will be delivering interactive workshops across Cheshire!

The Cheshire Youth Commission members have identified 4 important issues they will be working:

•     Relationships with the Police

•     Community Safety

•     Online Safety

•     Hate Crimes

Up until October 2023

All the workshops are youth led and last approximately 1 hour. They are very flexible and can work with both smaller and larger groups. All of the workshops are free to all organisations.

They would be delighted to run one or two workshops at your organisation!

The aim of the workshops is to raise the awareness of these important issues and gather the views, experiences, and perceptions of young people in Cheshire.

The second part of the workshop will look at what they think are the key solutions and how to address the issues within the topics.

The Youth Commission interactive workshops include:

•     Quizzes, and team work activities.

•     Debates

•     Solutions development

All responses will be presented to the Police and Crime Commissioner and to the Chief Constable by the Cheshire Youth Commission at the ‘Big Conversation Conference in November 2023'.

They will be inviting all organisations who have participated along with Senior police officers and key discussions makers in Cheshire.
