Congratulations to our first ever Super Draw Winner for the Halton Community Lottery, Elaine Ball. Maureen of Halton Cancer Support Group was delighted to present Elaine with her prize.
Elaine said ‘‘This is a wonderful prize to receive and a great surprise! However, the best prize of all was being part of Halton Cancer Support. Being part of the group helped me get back to work and gave me the confidence to deal with life moving forward, it was the best thing ever. From going in, being part of the group, offered a cup of tea, offered a biscuit, listening to other people’s stories, the openness, was the best support I could have had from an inspiring group of men and women. I’m proud to support this wonderful Charity’.
Nicola Donaghue, the centre’s Operations Manager, said “We are delighted to be the first member of Halton Community Lottery to have a Superdraw Winner! Each week we look forward to seeing the winners who often receive free entries into the next draw so to see a big prize is extra special! As a charity who needs to raise 50% of its running costs each year, we rely heavily on the kindness of our supporters and donors so it's lovely to see them in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes! The work involved in having this opportunity is minimal as it has been so well planned and thought out by the organisers of Halton Community Lottery who have made it very straight forward for the players and beneficiaries.
