Evelyn Partners Merseyside Charitable Fund

 

Community Foundation have launched Evelyn Partners Merseyside Charitable Fund. The fund offers grants up to £5,000, for projects which provide a positive impact on young people’s lives by supporting educational initiatives, as well as health and wellbeing and employability projects.

Fund priorities:

  • To support projects that help young people learn new skills and maximize their potential helping them improve their life chances and become more active and engaged in their own communities, e.g.  mentoring schemes to improve the employability of young people.
  • To increase levels of financial literacy for young people, e.g., money management and budgeting projects
  • Projects that aim to tackle specific community issues through education.
  • To support projects that promote wellbeing and tackle mental and physical health problems through education.
  • Projects where young people can help voluntary and community groups become more effective and efficient.
  • Projects that encourage excluded or isolated young people’s involvement in the community
  • Projects that encourage young people’s social entrepreneurship

 

Priority will be given to applicants that demonstrate how their project will make a difference to beneficiaries’ lives, e.g.  if a young person gains new skills, qualifications, or experiences and how these will be applied post project, such as through guaranteed work experience/interviews etc.

 

Special Criteria:

Group annual income must be less than £500,000 to be eligible.

Please note the Evelyn Partners Merseyside Charitable Fund panel are keen to consider projects that will result in some form of qualification or accreditation.

Community Foundation for Merseyside are a Real Living Wage funder, therefore, they would encourage applications which pay staff at the current Real Living Wage of £12 per hour as a minimum,

 

How much is available:

The budget is £23,000 and grants are available up to £5,000.

 

Which areas are covered:

Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens, and Wirral

 

Closing date:

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Tuesday 12th December 2023, however, as there are limited funds available and they do not want to disappoint too many applicants, the fund may close earlier.


Decisions: Decisions will be communicated by early March 2024.
