Voluntary and community organisations across the UK are being encouraged to take part in a national consultation on the future of National Lottery funding for good causes. The review aims to gather views from local authorities, voluntary sector organisations, community groups and members of the public to help shape how funding is distributed in the years ahead.
The consultation is seeking feedback on a number of key issues, including:
- How effectively current lottery funding reaches disadvantaged and underrepresented communities.
- Whether the existing balance of funding across arts, heritage, sport and community projects reflects local needs.
- How funding application processes can be made simpler and more accessible for grassroots organisations.
- Opportunities for stronger collaboration between lottery distributors and local government to achieve long-term community benefits.
This is an important opportunity for voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations to share their experiences and help influence future funding arrangements. Insights gathered through the consultation will help inform how National Lottery funding can best support communities and local priorities across the UK.
