Citizens Advice St Helens is an independent charity and a member of the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux.
They are the largest provider of free specialist advice in St Helens. Their services are delivered through their town centre base and other high-profile agencies. They deliver debt, welfare rights and benefits, energy and generalist advice through their town centre drop-in and various outreach sites as well as telephone advice and support.
They are seeking Trustees to bring their skills and experience to the Board, which sets direction and ensures good governance. Trustees volunteer to bring their time and knowledge to build on our vision. They are welcoming Trustees with relevant professional or life experience.
An opportunity for you to:
- Help set their strategy and contribute to their development
- Ensure those with the greatest need in our community are best able to access specialist debt, housing, and welfare benefits advice
- Meet staff and volunteers and build relationship
They are particularly seeking to diversify board membership, with skills in:
- voluntary sector
- human resources
- information technology
- charity finance
- community engagement
