Chrysalis is recruiting Trustees to join their passionate and dedicated team.
They are looking for people from a variety of backgrounds to join them and help support Chrysalis on its every changing journey.
Chrysalis has been around in some form for over 2 decades, transitioning from a one afternoon supported drop in to a successful charity offering support to hundreds of women suffering from the effects of Mental Health and Domestic Abuse.
Join the leadership team at Chrysalis Board of Trustees as a new Trustee and you will have the opportunity to bring your expertise and knowledge to the table, helping shape the organisation's strategy and direction.
As a Trustee, you'll be part of a dedicated team of volunteers who drive change and growth by understanding every aspect of the charity's operations. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the charity achieves its charitable objectives, while also taking on the ultimate responsibility for directing its affairs and ensuring its long-term sustainability.
While day-to-day tasks are important, it's equally crucial to see the bigger picture and understand how individual actions contribute to the charity's overall mission.
So, what does it take to be a successful Trustee? Strong interpersonal and influencing skills are essential, as you'll need to engage with peers, senior staff, and key stakeholders to facilitate strategic decision-making and calculated risks.
Trustee Board meetings are held at least four times a year, with dates circulated well in advance. Attendance is mandatory, with occasional virtual meetings via TEAMS available. Agendas are distributed in advance to ensure trustees have time to review and prepare for each meeting, promoting active debate and decision-making. Through this collective approach, all trustees actively support the outcomes of discussions, regardless of their individual perspectives. The management team is then responsible for implementing strategy and driving forward ideas into action.
They are looking for individuals who have experience in:
- Law
- Finance
- Health and social Care
- Domestic abuse
- Mental Health
- Marketing
- Business
