Change grow live Halton are delighted to host a series of events in May and June 2023, to highlight the experiences and issues faced by those with lived experience of substance use. The events will feature the voices of individuals themselves, providing a powerful insight into causes of substance use, experience of support in the Halton community and barriers that they have faced and overcome.
All events will feature different stories from individuals, with a variety of themes discussed. This may include childhood trauma, criminality, use of a variety of substances including alcohol, mental health, healthcare, social care, parental substance use, domestic abuse, loss, and much more.
These events will be suitable for anyone who’s area of work may include interaction or contact with individuals who experience issues with substances, with an opportunity to ask questions and find out more information. A flyer is attached but more in detail information is below. Please feel free to forward this opportunity onto any of your teams as you feel appropriate – they are keen to welcome as many services and individuals as possible.
Dates: 17th May, 24th May, 21st June, 28th June – all events are 13:30 – 16:00.
