Chrysalis Centre for Change

An established charity offering a wide range of emotional support services for women struggling to cope with the impact of mild to moderate mental health problems and/or domestic abuse. We offer 1-2-1 counselling, Journey Through Grief bereavement programme, Transform Your Life courses to empower, inspire and support women with confidence, self-esteem, assertiveness skills, creativity and to reduce the effects of anxiety, depression and domestic abuse.

YMCA St Helens

YMCA St Helens provides two stages of supported accommodation, working e ectively with people experiencing homelessness to enable them to sustainably transition to independent living. We aim to complete the refurbishment of our first-stage supported accommodation, to improve the way we report on the impact of our services, and to become a psychologically informed environment. We also provide general needs accommodation at Norman Salisbury Court.
YMCA St Helens provides support and advice to our residents through our well- established Foyer Project. We aim to develop this service to the local community, to increase the support we o er to former residents, and enhance our provision with more recreational activities.
YMCA St Helens operates a vibrant community centre with a range of activities, classes and sports on o er. We aim to diversify our o er and appeal to wider range of groups.
Our Beacon Nursery provides purpose-built, high quality facilities for children aged between six weeks and five years within our landmark Beacon facility. Having consistently been rated good by Ofsted, we aim to achieve an outstanding rating at our next inspection. We also aim to extend our o er to parents and families, building on existing competencies across our organisation.
First St Helens YMCA Scouts have been meeting at YMCA St Helens since 1908 and are the oldest scout group in the world.
