Lucem House Community Cinema Plus

The purpose of Lucem House shall be to provide a community-based and volunteer-run venue for the enlightenment, education, and entertainment of people of St Helens and neighbouring districts, through film, arts and related activity. Aims to: I. Provide a dedicated space for community cinema to bring independent, international, art house and local interest films covering a wide range of genres. II. Provide opportunity for independent local film makers to screen their work III. Widen access to the cinema and related arts activities such as theatre, screen writing, music, performance art, exhibition space, workshops IV. Encourage skill development for volunteers in cinema related activities such as programming, screening, licensing, projecting, ticketing, marketing and promotion, building facilities management, reception, coordinating groups and administration V. Provide a space for community based activities that can be suitably accommodated with a cinema/theatre style facility VI. Lucem House is committed to equality of access to all sections of society and will endeavor to promote this value in its physical structure and programme of activities VII. Sustain Lucem House as an independent community and volunteer led organization VIII. Lucem House is nonpolitical party aligned IX. The Lucem House Management Committee will act as Guardians of the constitution aims and objectives
