ChAPS (Cheshire Autism Practical Support)
ChAPS support families on the autism spectrum, including Aspergers Syndrome, whether diagnosed or not living in Cheshire.
We do this in several ways:
● parental support including advice, information, signposting,
positive parenting courses, access to Conferences, training
and social events.
● children’s activities including swimming, Youth Club and a specialised
socialisation group for children aged 7 to 11 in Northwich
and intensive social skills classes.
● we also run a range of support for adults on the autism
spectrum – two social evenings a month, intensive
independence living skills, and working in partnership to
provide personalised supported employment.
● ChAPS also runs the autism Attention Card in conjunction
with Cheshire Police, NW Ambulance and Cheshire Fire.
If you would like to join ChAPS and get access to all the services that we provide, please go to our website or give us a call.
