Purpose / Mission Statement Powered by Hip Hop CIC is a community-focused organisation dedicated to using hip-hop culture as a tool for positive social change. Our mission is to empower individuals, particularly young people, through the creative elements of hip-hop—music, dance, art, and spoken word—while fostering personal development, education, and community cohesion. Activities We achieve our mission through a variety of engaging programmes and initiatives, including: Workshops & Training – Delivering hip-hop dance, DJing, beatboxing, rap, graffiti art, and music production sessions that encourage creativity and skill-building. Youth Mentoring & Development – Providing guidance, life skills, and mentorship to young people, helping them build confidence and resilience. Community Events & Performances – Organising showcases, battles, and live performances to celebrate hip-hop culture and provide platforms for emerging talent. Education & Outreach – Collaborating with schools, youth centres, and organisations to promote hip-hop as an educational tool for engagement and self-expression. Wellbeing & Inclusion Programmes – Using hip-hop to support mental health, social inclusion, and positive lifestyle choices, ensuring accessibility for all. Through these initiatives, Powered by Hip Hop CIC strives to inspire, uplift, and create meaningful opportunities within communities while preserving and celebrating hip-hop culture.
