Listen 4 Change

Listen 4 Change is the local Parent Carer Forum, open to any carers of a child or young person with Special Educational Needs and/or a Disability (SEND) aged 0–25 in St Helens. We are a group of volunteer parent carers who work in partnership with the Local Authority, NHS Integrated Care Board, education, health and social care services to make sure the services that they plan and deliver meet the needs of children and young people with SEND and their families. Our Mission Statement: To work with the Local Authority, the Integrated Care Board and other service providers, including Health, Education & Social Care, to ensure that local services meet the needs of children and young people with SEND and their families thus ensuring they have the best possible outcomes. Our Aims are: 1. To give parent carers the opportunity to share their views and experiences of the services they use with the service providers. 2. To ensure parent carer voices are heard at the highest level so that the services used by them, and their children and young people, meet their needs. 3. To inform parent carers about local services so that they know what is available to support them and their families.

Parent Carer Coffee Event

Twice a month - one Friday morning, one Tuesday evening. Term-time only | Free

This is an informal drop-in event ran by parent carers for parent carers of children aged 0-25 with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). We meet to support each other and to share our experiences and views of local education, health and social care services - what is working well for your child/young person and what changes are needed to better support them. By telling us what is working well and what needs improving, we can work with local services to ensure that the services they plan and deliver meet the needs of local children and young people with SEND.
