The World of Glass

Our mission here at The World of Glass is to educate our community about the beauty, wonder, heritage and science of glass. We are a centre of participation and inclusion for St. Helens and the wider community. We are committed to offering a relevant and important education offer to schools in the borough and beyond and we hope to inspire a new generation of artists and art enthusiasts through demonstrations of the ancient craft of glass blowing. The World of Glass champions the Arts and offers opportunities for the young and not so young of St Helens to have works of art displayed in our purpose built gallery spaces.

World of Glass Illuminate (Session for families and their under 5's)

Free

Together we will be exploring glass objects in our museum and imaging them as bigger shapes. What could we do with them? Could they become a big climbing frame? or a giant slide? How do certain colours make us feel? what do our faces look like when we feel happy?

As part of 'The Big Draw festival' we are creating our own colourful shapes on the world outside by drawing onto our glass bridge. What colour will you choose?

This is a free event. You will only need to book a free ticket for your child, adults are free.

Please do contact us at events@worldofglass.com if you would like any extra details.
