Salary: Circa £26,000 pro rata (+3% Employer Pension Contribution)
Hours: 14 hours per week

Sahir House is a Merseyside-based charity with a big heart. The organisation serves a unique dual purpose – they advocate for and support the needs of LGBTQ+ people and we promote better sexual health for all. Since their formation, the needs of people living with HIV has been core to their purpose.
They’re a bold and empowered community of LGBTQ+ people and allies engaged in creating a brighter shared future. They are there for people when they need them. They do this through their 1:1 support service, counselling, peer support groups, online community, community engagement, outreach programmes, partnerships and more.
What will you be doing?
This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and community-minded person to continue to develop their skills within their evolving regional charity as a BACP Registered Counsellor.
What are they looking for?
- Recognised Counselling Diploma qualification (Level 4) or higher
- BACP/UKCP/ NCS or equivalent Registration is ESSENTIAL - BACP Individual or Student Membership cannot be accepted
- Working towards accreditation is preferred
- Diverse and varied experience of providing counselling to different service users with a range of presenting issues and experience of working with complex cases
- Strong, professional and personal drive
- Empathic, compassionate and responsive
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated
