We can all honestly say that 2022 was an incredibly challenging and difficult year with people and our communities still recovering from the pandemic along with the current cost of living crisis. One which we see continuing into 2023 and will likely have an impact in the coming years, particularly on our mental health. Since the start of the first lockdown in March 2020, voluntary organisations, self-organised groups, charities, faith groups and social enterprises not only looked to continue their services where possible, they also stepped up and met the increase in demand. This was to make sure people who had been affected the most in our communities were not alone and they can access the support available.
It is acknowledged that nationally we are facing a mental health crisis. Here at Halton & St Helens VCA we want to showcase all the amazing work our sector is doing to help those in our communities with mental health and wellbeing, recognising that for some people there are services available before someone needs crisis intervention.
We want this directory to be useful to not only other providers and partners but to the public who may just need to know what help is out there. So here is your CALL to ACTION…
