In light of a new social value policy that was approved at the beginning of this year, we are now consulting with organisations across the VCFSE sector, to understand how better to provide resources, personnel and services to the Halton community, as part of the Halton Social Value Project.
Social value is about creating positive social, economic and environmental outcomes for residents. Through the Halton Social Value Project, organisations may be able to access additional support, resources, expertise, volunteering, equipment, funding contributions and other forms of assistance from businesses and partners delivering services across Halton.
We are keen to hear about upcoming projects, activities and service developments where social value support could help your organisation achieve greater impact. This could include requests for volunteer time, professional skills, training, equipment, materials, community improvements, employability opportunities or other resources that would enhance the work you do.
Examples of social value that have already been achieved within Halton between April 2025 and March 2026 include donations and labour provided to support Wonky Garden, providing essential services such as emergency lighting and fire alarm servicing to Runcorn district foodbank, school placements, apprenticeship scheme employment for Halton residents, as well as donations to food banks, the Grieving Men and Boys Project and other charity fundraisers.
If your organisation has an upcoming project that presents a social value opportunity, please complete the form below by 7th August to inform us of how you can be supported in order to enhance the services and support within your community.
