Expression Of Interest To Join Halton's VCFSE Mental Health And Wellbeing Alliance

Info

Halton and St Helens Voluntary Community Action (HSHVCA) are a charity working in Halton to support the implementation of the community Mental Health framework as part of the NHS long term plan to improve and develop services for people with mental health issues in the community in line with the community mental health framework.

Our commitment is to support local voluntary sector groups to attend our VCFSE Alliance which will aim to be a facilitator for the sector to take a lead in the community for mental health and wellbeing support.

In order to support the development of a well-constructed alliance, HSHVCA are seeking expressions of Interest from parties ACTIVELY DELIVERING IN HALTON wishing to clearly state their commitment and be involved in this quarterly forum.

This is an opportunity to join us in developing and building an alliance which provides an innovative and competitive offer to work alongside partners in statutory service for the provision of community based support for Mental Health services in and for Halton.

If you are interested in working as part of an alliance on this opportunity, please provide the information requested below

As an Alliance our aims are to:

  1. Develop and facilitate a quarterly Halton VCFSE Mental Health & Wellbeing Forum.
  1. To bring together representatives of local VCFSE, working in partnership with the statutory and clinical mental health services, creating an interface between them.  Sharing of knowledge and good practice and identifying opportunities that ensure residents of Halton get the right mental health support at the right time.
  1. Work to influence cross decision makers and improve communication and collaboration across the sector.
  1. Act as a point of contact for public sector partners wishing to gain information about VCFSE sources of mental health and wellbeing support.
  1. Support the alliance members to develop shared projects and programmes that positively impact upon mental health, aligning with the five ways of wellbeing (Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Learn and Give to others). In particular projects that prevent crisis or recovery from crisis and also act as a vehicle to signpost or facilitate training and wider learning opportunities.
  1. Be an opportunity to network and co-produce projects and offer training and capacity building support. When there is new learning to be shared we aim to create ‘sector briefings’ for the sector from our public sector colleagues.
  1. Facilitate the connecting of people and organisations underpinned with a respect for each other’s skills, knowledge and experience and a recognition there is enough space for us all to be involved.

These aims are included in the full Terms Of Reference of the Alliance

Members of the alliance are fee to opt in / out at any time.
