Welcome to the latest VCA E-Bulletin

Every fortnight, we bring you the latest news, events, opportunities and updates from across the VCFSE sector, connecting organisations and communities across Halton, St Helens and the wider region.

Submission for Ebulletin

A warm welcome from Sally Yeoman MBE, CEO

Welcome to the latest Halton & St Helens VCA Newsletter.

As we move into October, this edition is packed with funding opportunities, networking events, community consultations, training, wellbeing activities and local initiatives that demonstrate the strength and diversity of our voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector.

There are several important dates coming up over the next few weeks, including the Halton VCFSE Forum, St Helens VCFSE Forum, the next St Helens Mental Health Alliance meeting and opportunities to contribute to conversations around carers' support, mental health services and community safety. We also highlight practical funding and fundraising opportunities, including a grant programme with a deadline tomorrow and ways to make the most of the Community Lottery.

Alongside this, you'll find inspiring stories from organisations working across Halton and St Helens, from community choirs and wellbeing walks to support groups, creative events and initiatives helping people build connections, improve their health and access support when they need it most.

As always, thank you for everything you do to support local communities. Your commitment, creativity and collaboration continue to make a real difference to people across our boroughs.

If your organisation has a news story, event, funding opportunity, training course, consultation or community initiative that you'd like us to share with our network, please send the details to news@haltonsthelensvca.org.uk.

Together, we can continue to celebrate and strengthen the fantastic work taking place across Halton and St Helens.

With best wishes,

Sally Yeoman MBE
