Recruiting volunteers from across the Liverpool City Region has never been easier. Halton & St Helens VCA are working in partnership with our neighbouring CVS’s – connecting our Volunteering Portals together. Organisations register once instead of up to 5 times to connect with potential volunteers across Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral. You can add in as many opportunities as you like recruiting for multiple locations too if your services cover two or more boroughs.

In the last few months, Safer Halton Partnership have been preparing their strategy for 2024-2027. As part of this process they have identified 9 priorities which will be a focus for the partnership during this time. These priorities have emerged through a data led process and are evidence based so hopefully already reflect the thoughts of the local community. However, the partnership is open to hearing your thoughts on the above and will consider any other suggestions. 

Easyfundraising is offering groups and organisations in our area a free advice call with a fundraising specialist to help you raise as much as possible. Your expert will answer questions, show you how easyfundraising works, and get your fundraising off to a great start. Register your organisation with easyfundraising and when prompted choose a time and date that suits you and a member of the team will call you. 

Digitial Arts Box, Cuppa ’n’ Create project invites adults in Halton who have been touched by cancer to dive into creativity in a warm and inviting environment. Over 9 weeks they will explore photography, digital art, crafting and much more!

Alicia Abbott has joined the Halton Connect team as the new Widnes Community Connector.

The Halton Connected team is made up of two Community Connectors, Alicia for Widnes and Joanne for Runcorn; and Development Officer, Laura, for Halton.

The Community Connectors aim to link in with local organisations, to understand what you do, and the difference you make to reducing health inequity in the community.

Alicia and Joanne will help foster partnership working, promote what you do and actively encourage local people to engage with your services.
