Are you in good standing with your faith community?
Do you have two consecutive hours per week to be a volunteer chaplain to Merseyside Police officers, staff and family members?

Merseyside Police have adopted an exciting new strategy to integrate its Chaplaincy service more effectively within the Force and in relation to other wellbeing provision.  This will involve a combination of traditional chaplaincy - visiting stations and other places of work – with a new approach whereby chaplains, working in pairs, will facilitate reflective practice groups across the Force.

When detailing your skills and experience within the application form, please provide evidence in relation to the role profile and candidate specification provided.

A full programme of training and induction is being offered, beginning on the 23rd September 2020.

Candidates who are successful at shortlisting will be contacted via email to attend an informal interview. At this stage, you will be asked to provide two references- one of these from your Faith/Community Leader. Successful candidates will be subject to Management Vetting.

Volunteering Hours: A minimum of 2 consecutive hours a week.

Candidates must be available to complete the full training and induction programme (click here for information)
