Training and Learning Opportunities from Citizens Advice Halton

As the vaccine roll-out gathers apace Citizens Advice Halton is developing a programme of training and learning opportunities to help their volunteers get back on board and they'd like to offer some places/courses to volunteers at partner organisations.

The training will be through a combination of group sessions and e-learning opportunities.  Of particular interest to partners might be the offer of training/learning on 

  • Customer Service
  • Confidentiality
  • Health & Safety
  • Equality & Diversity
  • First Aid
  • Safeguarding
  • Resilience
  • Confidence Building
  • 1-2-1 budgeting skills 

This programme is part of a drive at Citizens Advice Halton to help local people get local jobs and the aim is to support local people improve their volunteering skills and hopefully then their life chances and ultimately their employment prospects.  

To be eligible the volunteers (inc. people thinking about voluntary work) must be Halton residents and be both, 

  • aged 18+, and 
  • not be in work, education or training.
