About this Event

When charities reach out to the wider community they expand their networks and increase support opportunities. Local businesses share many common issues, never more so that in this pandemic.

Are you interested in learning how linking to a local business can benefit your charity?

During this session we will be sharing how partnering with a local business can provide you and your organisation with a wide range of skills, knowledge and opportunities to strengthen the support you provide to those in your community.

The aim of this event is to provide an overview of how a successful partnership works and we will hear from three successful Charity and business partnerships. They will be sharing and discussing how their relationship has helped them grow and be more effective.

We will hear from some local Charity and Business partnerships and examples of how working together creates better community support.

We will then explore:

• The work of our Group.

• The mutual benefits of being part of a Charity and Business partnerships

• What is standing in the way of establishing and developing effective partnerships?

• What support would you like that can be provided in a follow up workshop that helps you achieve your partnership goals?

• Are there any skills gaps that stand in the way of you reaching out to new networks?

• Next steps – a follow on workshop will take place where we aim to support you in making business connections locally and build relationships

This event is part of a programme initiated by the Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales, Halton VCFSE and Halton Foundation. This focused work in Halton looks at how bringing people together from across sectors and communities can ensure that people facing complex social issues can access services that allow them to have a positive future and can thrive.

Who is this workshop for?

This is aimed at VCFSE organisations who are based in or deliver services in Halton.
