Engagement And Inclusion Officer - Families And Disabled People

The Engagement and Inclusion Officer – Families and Disabled People will work within the Committee for Social Responsibility department of the Diocese of Chester.  The role is to enable, support and resource parishes engaging in social action, particularly in relation to work: with parents and children facing disadvantage; supporting engagement in family life and awareness; acceptance and celebration of disabled people.

The successful candidate will be a person of deep conviction and passion concerning areas of social responsibility relevant to the Church of England, with a full understanding of the areas of engagement and inclusion. Sympathy with the aims and objectives of the Church of England is essential.

This is a part-time post of 28 hours a week, on a three year fixed-term contract.

The remuneration package will include a FTE salary of £26,818 (pro-rata £21,454) and membership of the Church of England Pension Scheme.
