Thanks to our colleagues at St Helens Safeguarding Board for sharing

‘As organisations look to recruit community spirited volunteers to assist in managing the unprecedented demand caused by the Corona Virus, it is important that we, as leaders in the Safeguarding environment, do not miss the critical opportunity to raise the importance of being vigilant to safeguarding issues, which they might not have been aware of previously’.
The attached video (produced by Waltham Forest Safeguard Team, but applicable nationwide) highlights some of the issues that volunteers should be aware of as they undertake roles such as delivering shopping or collecting prescriptions etc. If you need any further information please contact Amy Phillips (amyphillips@sthelens.gov.uk / 07843504770)
