Request from Hope Cafe Runcorn
Hope Café Runcorn are seeing generous individuals and organisations donate whatever they can to ensure we keep our medical staff healthy during this CV –19 pandemic.
Steve Illidge - Cafe manager was dropping some provisions to Warrington Halton NHS trust for nursing staff. “I asked what else they needed and was asked for quick noodle and cup soup packs. The thought immediately came to me that our café has had to close and we could produce quality, nutritious soup that can be heated in minutes and will sustain our NHS teams, ensuring we keep them well both physically and mentally.”
Within 24 hours we had started our ‘SOUPER HERO’ campaign – we are seeking individuals or organisations to crowd fun and match fund the programme. We are looking to fund as many £2 soup pots as we can for as many each week as we can – so far since Friday we have had hundreds of pounds given by a wide range of people who have become souper heroes.
More details are available on our Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/hopecaferuncorn/ or call 07395 313050 and let us know your donation. We will send you a secure link for you to pay your donation in to our charity and we will then make soup to keep the team at Halton General Hospital functioning.
Good Sam App/NHS Responders
Halton Council have asked us to ask our membership if they have referred anyone to the Good Sam app/NHS responders Halton and how easy/difficult it is/was to do so. The data from the short survey will be used to feed back to Halton Council.

Youth Media Opportunity | Divergent Thinking
Do you work with young people then they may be interested in this opportunity for free training for young people to learn to make videos. May be useful for your young people to skill them up to contribute to what you are trying to achieve, plus something to keep them occupied. Thinking it could be a way to ask young people for feedback on a whole host of things. Click here to find out more
