Launch of MRWA Zero Waste Community Fund 2026/2027

Community organisations across the Liverpool City Region are being invited to apply for a share of £165,000 to deliver projects that reduce waste and support a more sustainable future.

Funding of up to £30,000 is available for projects working across at least four local authority areas in the City Region. Smaller grants, ranging from £1,000 to £8,000, are available for projects focused within a single local authority area.

 Closing Date:  12.00pm Tuesday 10th March 2026.

Introducing The Recovery EDit

Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are excited to share the first issue of The Recovery EDit, a bulletin created by the EmpowerED Lead Provider Collaborative Experts by Experience Forum.  

This bulletin reflects the voices of those with lived experience, working alongside service providers, commissioners and third‑sector partners to improve eating disorder services across the North West.

Thousands Of Patients Receive Urgent Care At Home Thanks To Growing Community Service

 

Thousands of people across Cheshire and Merseyside are avoiding unnecessary hospital admissions, thanks to the region’s urgent community response (UCR) services.

The service, which is designed to support older adults and those with complex needs, has seen referrals increase by 60% since 2022.

The teams respond to urgent referrals within two hours, providing a clinical assessment and treatment plan - all in the person’s own home.

Infant Feeding Care and Services Survey - Closes 27 February 2026

Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust would like to hear about your experiences of infant feeding care and services in both hospital and community settings. Your feedback will help to improve support for families.

They welcome feedback from mothers, fathers, partners, expectant parents, family members and anyone involved in feeding and caring for a baby.

Welcome to the Make Every Contact Count (MECC) Half Day training happening at DCBL Stadium on March 4, 2026 at 9:30 AM (Europe/London). Delivered by Halton Health Improvement.

A MECC interaction can take a matter of minutes and is not intended to add to existing busy workloads, rather, it is structured to fit into and complement existing engagement approaches.

Ketamine Awareness Day - St Helens

St Helens The Best Me CIC are holding a “Ketamine Awareness Day” on Saturday, 21 February 2026.

The event is designed to highlight the impact of ketamine misuse, particularly among young people, and to provide information and support for families.  

The session will focus on prevention, addressing peer pressure and helping parents better understand the signs and consequences of drug use.

The event is open to all members of the community.

The Cranfield Trust are offering a free Webinar about how you can perform an effective Governance Review.

This one hour sessions will demonstrate how a well-designed governance review can be a powerful catalyst for stronger board leadership, better decision making and increased impact, but too often reviews fail to lead to meaningful change.

Have you heard about The Community Lottery – for local good causes?

Charities, community organisations, social business and community groups of all shapes and sizes can sign up, free of charge and get a slice of the ticket proceeds.

A generous 60% of the ticket proceeds from the the Community Lottery will go to charities, voluntary organisations and other not-for-profit groups with the remainder being put towards prizes, operating costs and VAT.
