Open Eye Gallery in Liverpool will be working with local council authorities, including St Helens Borough Council, to build a cultural programme of photography across the 6 council areas of Liverpool City Region.

An appointed Photographer in Residence (with experience of working with communities) will be joining an established local group to conceive and produce an exhibition of work in response to place.

These 6 exhibitions will be connected by the upcoming Liverpool City Region Photo Awards 2025, taking place at Open Eye Gallery in November 2025.

Halton Borough Council want to develop a set of informed priorities and plans for the future of Widnes Town Centre.
The council is working with local people to shape and prepare a plan that will guide the long term future of Widnes Town Centre.

The plan will enable the town to be a thriving, central place for the local community. Local Authority budgets are currently extremely stretched. However, there are funding pots available to invest in longer term plans and projects, including from the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and Central Government. The Council would like to understand the community's view on the type of projects that are needed.

The North West Net Zero Hub has launched Round 4 of the Community Energy Fund.

North West Net Zero Hub is administering our regional share of the Community Energy Fund (CEF) a national grant programme open to a range of community groups and eligible third and public sector organisations in England to develop projects from feasibility to commercialisation.

We'd like to highlight the opportunity for a short pre-application call to run through the CEF application process and potential project ideas with their partners the Centre for Sustainable Energy.
