St Helens Bourgh Council Resettlement Service Support are hosting regular events to support Refugees and Asylum Seekers living in the borough to access community facilities with ease.

Armed Forces Covenant Fund Programme 2024/25

The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust (the Trust) has launched the first Covenant Fund programme under its exciting three-year Funding Framework.

Serving Families: On the Move is now open for applications for grants of up £120,000 for two-to-three-year projects that will improve the quality of life for Service families impacted by relocation as a direct result of Service life.

The programme is now open for applications and the first closing date is 12 noon on 18 September 2024.

The Autism Wellbeing Project CIC - August 2024 Newsletter And 1st Birthday Celebrations

The Autism Wellbeing Project are having their birthday celebrations on August 28th. Details are in the newsletter. They would love to see you there. This free milestone event will be an excellent opportunity for professionals to network, gain insights, and explore collaboration opportunities.

As usual this month there are lots of free activities that they are now able to provide thanks to their lovely grant providers.

Chrysalis Is Recruiting For A Full Time Female Office Administrator / Appointment Coordinator

Chrysalis is a growing charity in St Helens, situated in the Beacon building in college Street, with a passionate team of women who support adults who identify as female that are struggling with mental health problems and/or domestic abuse. They are looking to employ a permanent female staff member to support the team in an administrative role by handling incoming phone calls, emails and texts, helping to manage their online systems and confidential information, and to act as a coordinator for the counselling service, arranging all appointments

Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9.

Family Hub Funding - Parent Infant Relationship & Perinatal Mental Health Families Fund Round 2 Now Open

Following a positive first round of very varied applications for the Families Fund, round 2 is now open to accept additional applications.

The closing date is 30th August.

All of the successful applications from Rounds 1 and 2 will be announced at Halton Borough Council's Community Soup event on Monday 16th September.

Focus On Volunteering
 


Medaille Trust supports and empowers survivors of modern slavery, trafficking and exploitation. They do this in a number of ways, from offering safe accommodation, to offering support both in their safehouses and out in the community on their  Moving on Projects.

Their work also includes advocacy and awareness raising in the UK as well as an entrepreneurship academy in Albania, which provides meaningful alternatives to those who may otherwise be at risk of exploitation. All their work embodies a commitment to personalised support, recognising the dignity and agency of service users and empowering them on a path to a life that is free from slavery and exploitation.

As part of the work they do, they offer activities to service users to help them to gain skills, learn new things and create friendships. They recognise the importance of wellbeing and being in nature and have their own allotment to support this vision.

Charities, community organisations, social business and community groups of all shapes and sizes can sign up, free of charge and get a slice of the ticket proceeds.

A generous 60% of the ticket proceeds from the St.Helens Community Lottery will go to charities, voluntary organisations and other not-for-profit groups with the remainder being put towards prizes, operating costs and VAT.
