Last month saw the re-launch of Halton’s VCFSE Mental Health Alliance with over 40 people coming together to showcase their services and support. 

 The Alliance aims to bring together representatives of local VCFSE, working in partnership with the statutory and clinical mental health services, creating an interface between them.  Sharing knowledge and good practice and identifying opportunities that ensure residents of Halton get the right mental health support at the right time.

 In order to support the development of a well-constructed alliance, we are seeking expressions of Interest from parties actively delivering in Halton wishing to clearly state their commitment and be involved in this quarterly forum.

The NHS Constitution sets out the principles, values, rights and pledges underpinning the NHS as a comprehensive health service, free at the point of use for all who need it.

It empowers patients, staff and the public to know and exercise their rights in order to help drive improvements in quality, efficiency and responsiveness throughout the NHS. It brings together, in one place, existing rights as set out in various legislation. It does not, in itself, create new rights or replace existing ones.

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) are now seeking views on how best to change the NHS Constitution. 
This consultation is part of the process to complete the 10 year review, as legislated for in the Health Act 2009.

The NHS Constitution applies to all those who use its many services, its staff and providers. During this consultation exercise, DHSC want to hear from people across this broad spectrum, to help define and enshrine the values of the NHS for years to come.

Do you have a team, group or workplace who would like to get together and join Halton Cancer Support 5K event?

They would love to hear from you and welcome any local teams and businesses to promote what you do while joining them to raise awareness of the support htey offer.

They are looking for:

• Local groups to take part in your kits/team t-shirts.
• Groups of work-place colleagues – (team building event).
• Groups of friends.
• Families.
• People in fancy dress!

You can walk, jog, run, scoot, or use a mobility aid to complete all or some of the 5k route. The important thing is to be there and be part of something wonderful 

This free conference aims to shed light on why suicide is the biggest killer of men under 50. The reasons why a man takes his own life is very complex and often misunderstood. With pressures such unemployment, poverty and addiction it is more important than ever to raise awareness of the issues that impact men and what we all can do to help keep our men well.

Building Foundations is a welcoming group that looks to support people to become more active and have some refreshments after.

- The activity is based around fun
- They run seperate Women's and Men's sessions
- Held once a week ( Women on a Monday - Men on a Wednesday)

Just a reminder that our regular monthly Halton VCFSE Forum has moved to a new day and time so that we can engage more representatives of the sector.  All future meetings will be held on Wednesdays from 9.30 to 10.30 when online and 9.30 to 11.30 when in person to allow for more face to face networking.
