Talk On Transcendental Meditation (Nurses Learn Free, Discounts For Others) Tuition in Transcendental Meditation is via a four day course which nationally costs between £300 and £700 per person depending on income. The teacher for this area, acting in a voluntary capacity, has received a large amount of money to support teaching those who would learn if they could afford it. The donation means that the same quality of course can be offered at 20% of the usual cost, i.e. between £60 and £140. An offer is also made to teach nurses free of any charge at all. This offer is to those who live or work in St Helens, or very close... The Cheshire & Merseyside State Of The Sector Survey Is Now Live The Cheshire & Merseyside State of the Sector survey is part of a collaboration with the VS6 Partnership, Cheshire and Warrington Infrastructure Partnership (CWIP) and Voluntary Sector North West (VSNW). If you are a voluntary, community, faith or social enterprise organisation operating in Cheshire and Merseyside we invite you to be part of this exciting research project. The survey is a crucial part of a wider State of the Sector project designed to develop a deeper understanding of the VCFSE sector across Cheshire and Merseyside in order to improve our knowledge of the size and scope of the sector, understand needs and challenges, and develop data and insights that can be used at a regional and place level with commissioners, funders and to influence policy and decision making... 'Round 'ere' is a new project with the Civic Data Cooperative, (part of the University of Liverpool). The project aims to understand what being 'well' means to local people and find out if the right information is being used to fully understand this on a really local level. They're looking for a small group of people to lead community conversations - speaking to neighbours, friends, family and people living and working in West Bank to understand what everyone needs to be well. You will be trained up and paid for your time (reimbursed through vouchers so that any benefits are not affected). When the training is completed you will be able to work as many or as few hours as suits you, at the times that work for you, by going out and talking to the people around you... New Locality Research - Community Spaces and CYP Mental Health New research from Locality recommends new measures for community spaces supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people. The latest report ‘Space to thrive’– explores the role of community spaces in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people (CYP) across England. It comes as part of their ongoing work as a member of the government’s VCSE Health and Wellbeing Alliance (HW Alliance) – representing community organisations in the development of policy to tackle health inequalities... CGL Voices of Lived Experience Events - May and June 2023 Change grow live Halton are delighted to host a series of events in May and June 2023, to highlight the experiences and issues faced by those with lived experience of substance use. The events will feature the voices of individuals themselves, providing a powerful insight into causes of substance use, experience of support in the Halton community and barriers that they have faced and overcome. All events will feature different stories from individuals, with a variety of themes discussed. This may include childhood trauma, criminality, use of a variety of substances including alcohol, mental health, healthcare, social care, parental substance use, domestic abuse, loss, and much more...
