Fun Free Workshops on Friday 23rd September 2022 We are running three short workshops for St Helens residents who are unemployed / unable to work on Friday 23rd September 2022 at The Beacon Building, College Street, St Helens. WA10 1TF. There is a £30 gift voucher for each participant who completes a workshop; lunch and travel expenses are provided. Lunch will be provided for attendees at both Morning and / or Afternoon sessions from 12:45pm... Exploring & Establishing a St Helens VCFSE Mental Health Alliance - ONLINE MEETING Are you a charity, community organisation, voluntary group or community interest company that delivers activites and services to support people in understanding and improving their mental wellbeing? - Following on from from our in person face to face meeting in August we wanted to provide an online meeting to ensure others who were unable to attend inperson, could also contribute to explore establishing a Mental Health Alliance of VCFSE organisations in St Helens on 27th September, 12:30 PM through 2:00 PM... The Halton Foundation was launched in February 2016 and aims to forge links between local community groups who need help, with local businesses who may be able to provide it. The partnership is led by Halton Chamber of Commerce, Halton Borough Council and Halton and St Helen’s Voluntary and Community Action (VCA). The Halton Foundation’s grant making arm is administered by the Community Foundation for Merseyside. The Halton Foundation comprises a number of funds under its umbrella including dormant funds, the largest of which is the Knights House Charity, which was originally established in February 1875. The Halton Foundation aims to support people across the borough of Halton who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress. The fund will support voluntary and community groups that are working in the Halton area on a wide range of charitable projects... Funding Available for Growing Projects in Liverpool City Region Liverpool Food Growers Network want to hear your volunteer stories. Growing projects and community gardens in Liverpool City Region are invited to apply for small grants of £500 from the Liverpool Food Growers Network. The funding is for hosting an open event at your community garden, growing space or an associated venue to highlight stories and achievements of your volunteers. It can be used to cover the preparations and hosting of the event... High Sheriff and Merseyside Police Charitable Fund The High Sheriff and Merseyside Police Charitable Fund has launched this week with a closing date of 24th October. The fund will consider applications from groups that have been established for a minimum of 1- year with grants up to £2500 available. The fund aims to work with voluntary bodies and community groups in Merseyside to support community safety, crime prevention and security initiatives in their locality.... Funding Alerts With Imminent Deadlines The External Funding Team at Halton Borough Council have sent over two grant funding alerts that may be of interest and whose imminent deadlines prevent inclusion in the next (October) Halton Funding monthly bulletin... Design & Marketing Executive - Digital Arts Box CIC Digital Arts Box CIC are looking for a Design & Marketing Executive to create strong graphics and mixed media content, which will strategically grow their online presence, as well as creative design of printed media such as flyers and posters. They want someone who is super creative, analytically minded and can make the role their own. This person must be comfortable filming, creating and editing engaging visual and written content that accurately represents our brands across all marketing channels The role will be focused around helping to create and deliver campaigns to both a B2B and B2C audience... HERE: An Augmented Reality Art Trail An exhibition with a difference launches in St Helens town centre in September. The HERE exhibition uses augmented reality (AR) to showcase virtual artworks, sound installations and performances – together creating a digital portrait of St Helens.Developments in AR mean audiences of all ages actively engage with popular computer games such as Pokemon Go. They have harnessed this interest to explore how it can be used to share multimedia artwork - usually confined to a gallery or performance space. The HERE ARTrail is open to the public from September 5th-30th, so bring your phone or tablet, plug in some headphones, and download the app to experience this unique Augmented Reality trail... Final Call for Third Sector Trends Study in North West England 2022 You’ll probably have seen about this study by now. So far 5,080 voluntary and community organisations and social enterprises have joined so far in England and Wales and over 600 in the North West. We really need you to take part so that we can build a picture of what is happening in Halton and St Helens, what has changed since 2019 and what you think is going to happen next. It's quick, interesting, easy to do. You can do it on your phone, tablet, laptop or PC...
