LCR VCFSE Manifesto Delivery Plan for Year One (2021-22)

Earlier this year, the LCR VCFSE Manifesto for 2021-2024 was published, outlining the aims and ambitions for the VCFSE sector over the next three years and the key asks of the LCR Combined Authority. The manifesto was developed through a number of events held by VS6 with the VCFSE sector in LCR over the past 12-18 months, including the VS6 Assembly Events and the VS6 Manifesto Consultation events, with the feedback from these events shaping the priorities within the manifesto. One clear piece of feedback from the VCFSE sector at the consultation events was the need to provide further detail on how the manifesto will be delivered. Therefore, VS6 Partners have produced a Manifesto Delivery Plan for Year One (2021-22), outlining the key actions that will be undertaken to achieve the Manifesto priorities...


Parr Participatory Funding

Merseyside Police, St Helens Council, Torus and Saints Community Development Foundation are facilitating a community event for the residents of Parr, called ‘Parr-ticipate,’ that will take place at the Totally Wicked Stadium, 18:30-21:30hrs, on Wednesday 8th December 2021. As a result of further funding, a total of £30,000 has now been made available for community groups in the Parr area and this event will give the residents of Parr an opportunity to decide how it should be spent and which groups should be successful in the process. They are inviting community groups who are based in Parr, or whose projects benefit the residents of Parr, to bid for up to £2000 of the £30,000 fund... 


Treasurer/Trustee Vacancy - Halton Play Council

Halton Play Council is a local Childrens charity based in Runcorn Old Town. Their aim is to offer play opportunities to children of all abilities through the different services they provide. They are a commissioned service delivering short breaks for Halton Borough Council. They also offer Holiday Playschemes during school holidays to all children, of all abilities, aged 5 to 12 at sites across Runcorn & Widnes. They are currently looking for a new Treasurer to join the Board of Trustees to help guide and advise them on financial concerns. They have a dedicated Finance Assistant, and their annual accounts are currently audited by an external accountancy firm, therefore the role of Treasurer is to help oversee the financial work of the Charity, not to be involved in the Day to Day running of the Finance Department...

Snap Your Town

‘SnapYourTown’ is a nationwide photography competition for Young People aged 11 - 19, in England, which follows on from I4YPC’s successful lockdown project, ‘RapYourTown’. Whilst the country is recovering and trying its best to deal with the world post-pandemic; it’s really important that young people have opportunities to express themselves and be creative to aid their recovery too.  Young people of England deserve to have the opportunity to enter the competition and get involved!  It’s judged by BAFTA nominated David Stewart and the winner will receive a £500.00 camera AND the opportunity to photograph the production of ‘Innit’ at The Lowry in 2023...

Rolling Out PABBS Suicide Bereavement Face To Face Training Across The UK

SUICIDE BEREAVEMENT UK predominantly deliver PABBS in-house suicide bereavement training.  As part of the re-launch, they are currently providing an opportunity for individuas to attend  PABBS Face to Face suicide bereavement training. Lloyds Bank Foundation Food Poverty Systems Change Workshop 

Over the past twelve months Lloyds Bank Foundation have been working across Halton with colleagues and partners to gain an understanding of the issues relating to Food Poverty, with a focus on children and young people and to consider what systems change could be implemented to start to address these issues. They would like to invite you to a series of workshops where they will review and reflect on the work that has been undertaken and consider the next steps in this journey. This invite is for anyone who feels passionate about food poverty/food insecurity and wants to make a difference. You are welcome to attend all the workshops or just what you are free to do...


Artist Open Call

Heart Of Glass are looking for 2 local artists to work with them to produce covering artwork for the inside of local arriva buses. The budget is £1750 (inclusive of VAT) - fee (approx 7 days work including research, production, evaluation) and production (any costs in addition to your fee - travel, fees for other creatives etc). Heart of Glass will cover the costs of designer (to ensure finished artworks are fitting to the coving spec) print and install of the coving separate to this budget. Apprenticeship Graduation Event

Apprentices have a long and high reputation within our area, and there is widespread support for them, noting the key role they have in providing people and employers with the skills that they need to flourish.  In order to enable this, the next Liverpool City Region Apprenticeship Graduation will be held on Thursday 25 November 2021 at Grand Central Hall, Liverpool.  This glittering ceremony is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the achievements of staff who have completed their apprenticeships between August 2019 and August 2021, with Beth Tweddle MBE as the special guest and the Metro Mayor opening the event...

Free Training Courses From We Find Any Learner

Do you or your team have a training requirement? Would you like to up-skill yourself or your team at no cost? Thanks to government funding, We Find Any Learner can provide you or your team with free nationally accredited distance learning courses. These courses are great for personal development, confidence and are a great way to improve their CPD in the comfort of their own home or workplace. The courses they offer take around 30 hours in total to complete and you will be awarded a nationally recognised certificate from TQUK, CACHE or NCFE at the end of the course. They will also have online or over the phone tutor support throughout their learning journey. During November and December, they are also offering face to face group enrolments in your chosen venue. If you struggle to get groups together then they can simply issue each person with a link to complete the enrolment process in the comfort of their own home or workplace...


Vibe Providing Youth Outreach Work in Halton

Vibe have been commissioned by Halton Borough Council to provide Youth Outreach across Halton every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening alongside the coordination and delivery of Halton Youth Council, which they have been undertaking since July 2021. They are really keen to ensure young people’s voice is heard and they are part of the solution in reversing the deprivation and stigma attached to our young people...
