Volunteering Coordinator WHHT (Temporary)

Halton and St Helens VCA wants to employ someone who can provide a development role supporting our work in engaging volunteers with Warrington & Halton Teaching Hospital NHS Trust. This will be a temporary post until 31st March 2022 with the possibility of seeking further funding. 

Duties include: Supporting the development of volunteering within the Trust, supporting staff in the supervision and management of volunteers; promoting volunteering; delivering training. 

You will need to have experience in working with volunteers and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, CRM systems and Volunteer management platforms to be able to manage competing demands and prioritise workloads.


St Helens VCSE Forum - 12th July 2021

The next St Helens VCSE Forum meeting will be on Monday 12th July 2021 at 10am. However, due to COVID-19  we will be conducting it online using Zoom (requires internet access only). Anthony Walker Foundation - Focus Groups for Young People

The Anthony Walker Foundation and young people from Liverpool City Region have created a hate-crime prevention campaign, which educates people about hate crime and encourages hate crime reporting. As part of this project, they need to hold focus groups with young people (ages 18-30), from across Liverpool City Region (including Halton and St Helens), to test the campaign with them, to make sure that it’s changing people’s attitudes towards hate crime and reporting.  Would young people associated with your organisation be prepared to join the focus groups?

DCBL Stadium Widnes Drop In Vaccinations

There are now drop in clinics at the  DCBL Stadium Widnes for anyone over 18 who has not had their first covid jab yet. They are able to vaccinate from any postcode so if you are passing through, working in the area that is fine. There is also Drop-in clinic for 2nd dose Astra Zeneca, anyone who had their first jab on or around the 8 May, should now get their second jab, if they haven’t had it already...


St Helens Library Consultation July Workshop

St Helens Library Service is currently consulting residents and partners about the draft Library Strategy (attached below). They are looking to explore the possibility of organisations such as Parish Councils, voluntary and community organisations being involved in managing libraries in the community. They have commissioned Placed,  an independent social enterprise based in Liverpool to deliver an online workshop to explore ideas around how the Library Service can be developed, including potential community managed arrangements. The workshop is open to everyone, but they are specifically targeting those organisations who they think can help with this element...
