Deafness Resource Centre Service Information

At the Deafness Resource Centre in St Helens, they pride themselves in delivering services which will empower and enrich the lives of the Deaf community through promoting independence and reducing isolation since 1928.  One aspect of this, is working with organisations to enable their service to reach as many D/deaf individuals as possible. CHCP Foundation

The aim of the CHCP Foundation small grants programme is to provide an opportunity for local voluntary and community organisations and/or other not-for-profit organisations to contribute towards the health and wellbeing of people throughout the United Kingdom. The programme provides grants or donations of up to £1,000 maximum to carry out activities, projects or one-off events in relation to health and wellbeing for the benefit of the local communities in which CHCP CIC operates (this being Hull, East Riding, Knowsley and St Helens). Free Digital Skills Training

The Include-IT Mersey digital inclusion project offers IT skills training and employability support for local unemployed people, especially for those aged 30 and over.  Roll-on, roll-off courses available at venues across Widnes. It is a new project jointly funded by European Social Fund and the Big Lottery Fund as part of its 2014-2020 Building Better Opportunties Programme. The Project offers a personalised package of support to out of work residents in the Liverpool City Region, making them more confident  about using digital technologies, helping to improve their IT and online skills and ultimately supporting them towards and into employment...

Think CO Success Story - Gas Safe

The Gas Safe Charity runs free, on line 'Think CO' workshops to raise awareness of carbon monoxide (CO) risks in the homes of vulnerable people. They are aimed at those staff and volunteers who provide support in the home. After the training you will be more aware of the sources, signs and symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning and understand what to do if you suspect a CO incident. Earlier this year a member of the North Yorkshire County Council's reablement team was visiting a client, only a few weeks after attending the Think CO workshop.
