Update From DCMS/DHSC On Rapid Testing (lateral flow) For People Who Don't Show Covid Symptoms

Following regular meeting with DCMS, The Department of Health and Social Care have provided NCVO with clarity on advice for organisations wishing to apply to receive rapid lateral flow test kits (testing for those who have no covid symptoms) to undertake testing of their staff who cannot work from home. PHE Launches New Psychological First Aid Training For Those Supporting Children and Young People Affected By COVID-19

Online training developed by PHE is now available to all those who care for or work with children and young people aged up to 25. People that care for or work with children and young people that have been affected by COVID-19 (or other emergencies or individual crises) will be able to access a new online Psychological First Aid (PFA) training course. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on children, with many reporting that it has made them feel more stressed, lonely and worried. The online course, developed by PHE, offers training on how to provide practical and emotional support to children and young people affected by emergencies or crisis situations.  Children and young people can be very resilient, but crises such as COVID-19 can severely impact their mental health. Halton & St Helens VCA Online Funders Fair

You can now register for the Halton & St Helens VCA Funders Fair being held on Friday 5th March, this will be an online session using zoom. Funders will be joining us throughout the day to give a short presentation along with a short time to answer any questions you may have. The event will give you an opportunity to find out what funding is available directly from the funder, each funder will be allocated a slot and you can join or leave the meeting dependent on the funder that you want to hear from or you can stay for all of the sessions. You will be able to hear from funders such as PH Holt Foundation, WEA on their ESF grants programme and the National Lottery Community Fund and many more...
