St Helens Voluntary Sector Mental Health & Wellbeing Service Directory – Get your organisation listed

We can all honestly say that 2020 was an incredibly challenging and difficult year.  One which continues into 2021 and will likely have an impact in the coming years, particularly on our mental health.  Since the start of the first lockdown in March 2020, voluntary organisations, self-organised groups, charities, faith groups and social enterprises not only looked to continue their services where possible, they also stepped up and met the increase in demand.  This was to make sure people who had been affected the most in our communities were not alone and they can access the support available.

We want this directory to be useful to not only other providers and partners but to the public who may just need to know what help is out there. So here is your CALL to ACTION…


£165,000 Waste Prevention Fund For Liverpool City Region Community Groups

A share of £165,000 is up for grabs to help community groups make the Liverpool City Region a cleaner and greener place. The funding has been made available for community and voluntary groups, schools and not-for-profit organisations, who can reduce household waste, encourage recycling and resource re-use and prevent carbon emissions. The projects will also have to demonstrate wider positive impacts on the environment, health and education. The money is coming from the Merseyside Recycling & Waste Authority and Veolia Community Fund 2021/22, which has been running annually since 2006...

Halton SEND Carers Forum

Do you want to make a different to SEND services in Halton? If so why not join Halton SEND Carers Forum. The Parent carer forum is a group of parents and carers of disabled children aged 0 -25 years. Their aim is to make sure the services in their area meet the needs of disabled children and their families. iCAN Warning: Boots recalls Multivitamins Because They Were Incorrectly Packaged

Boots has recalled Boots Multivitamins supplements because they have been incorrectly packed with multivitamins containing iron. This resulted in vitamin K not being present within the supplement and iron incorrectly added to the supplements instead. Iron has not been mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk to individuals who may also be consuming iron supplements in addition to these multivitamins. This affects multivitamins sold between 12 and 19 January 2021 only...


Volunteer Engagement Coordinator

Willowbrook is an Outstanding Hospice based in St Helens. They provide care and support for people who live within the boroughs of Knowsley and St Helens. They are recruiting for a full-time (37 hours per week) Volunteer Engagement Coordinator to join their Volunteer Engagement team based at the Living Well building. The salary range for this role is £19,737- £21,142 per annum. They are looking for a person who is truly passionate about the volunteer sector, has excellent communication skills and is highly proficient in I.T and utilising social media.
