A Consultation On Ward Boundaries For St Helens Council Has Begun

A 10-week public consultation on proposals for new council wards and ward boundaries for St Helens Council has been announced. The consultation will close on 02, November 2020. After they have considered all representations made to them during this consultation, they intend to publish draft recommendations in February, 2021. They will then hold a further period of consultation on their draft recommendations. The final recommendations are expected to be published in June 2021. The new electoral arrangements will come into effect at the local elections in May, 2023...

Welcome To New Staff

We have recently welcomed 3 new members of staff to the VCA staff team:

Christine Tully: Many of you will already know Christine from her previous role with Volunteer Centre St Helens.  She has re-joined VCA as our new Volunteer Coordinator for the Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Volunteer programme and will be working to develop roles across both hospitals and to recruit volunteers for those roles. 

Louise Matthews: Louise has joined the team as our new Warrington and Halton Hospitals Volunteers Administrator. She has over 15 years experience is Administration and Customer Service and has spent 9 years Volunteering at WHH.

Eluned Hughes: Eluned has been involved in the Voluntary and Community Sector for over 20 years, supporting individuals into volunteering and assisting organisations to develop volunteer programmes as part of Volunteer Centre Liverpool and then Volunteer Co-ordinator of LCVS’s Volunteer Hub. She has now joined the VCA team as our new Volunteering Services Officer and will be hosting her first Volunteer Co-ordinators Network Meeting on Monday 7th Sept.
