Include-IT Mersey - Halton Launch

Include-IT Mersey is an exciting new project jointly funded by the European Social Fund and the Big Lottery Fund as part of its 2014-2020 Building Better Opportunities Programme. The project provides a personalised package of support to digitally excluded residents of the Liverpool City Region who are out of work.  The aim being to help improve their IT and online skills, confidence in using and practical access to, digital technologies and ultimately, support them towards and into employment. Apex Charitable Trust Take On Colour Run

Employees from St Helens based charity Apex Trust took on the Manchester Colour Run to help raise vital funds to continue their work. Founded in 1996, Apex works with ex offenders to help them back into employment and training. In order to maintain current service levels the charity needs to fundraise an additional £15,000 over the coming six months. The money goes towards funding childcare, so women can attend training courses, as well as equipment such as hairdressing starter kits, CSCS cards and providing clothing to attend job interviews...

Skipton Building Society Grassroots Giving Funding

Community groups across the country are being invited to enter an award scheme which last year gave out £81,500 to good causes. 163 small community groups were celebrating at the end of last year after local supporters helped them secure funding from Skipton Building Society’s Grassroots Giving Scheme. The winners were chosen by public vote after being shortlisted from over 1,000 community organisations across the country. Now in its fifth year, Grassroots Giving was set up to support small community groups which might not normally attract any sort of funding. Funding Success To Teach School Learning Skills Through Hip Hop

UC Crew has successfully received £2500 from the WO Street Transformation Fund administrated by the community Foundation for Merseyside to offer FREE Hip Hop and Urban workshops at local libraries and schools for 5-16 year olds to increase children and young people’s skills of reading, writing, listening, drawing and maths, through a range of performances and workshops in Break Dancing, Parkour, Graffiti, Comic Book Drawing and Hip Hop Theatre. Grant Award For Deafness Resource Centre

The Deafness Resource Centre in St Helens has been awarded a grant of £56,766 from The Steve Morgan Foundation, to continue delivering Advocacy support for D/deaf people for the next three years.
