Bloomin’ Marvellous Plant Sale For Hospice

Dying Matters Awareness Week 2017

Members of the local community are invited to come along to an open event at Willowbrook-The Living Well on Tuesday 9 May (10am-3pm) to find out more about what they can do to plan for their future, the future of their loved ones and those in their local community. The ‘drop in’ event is supported by organisations such as Citizens Advice Bureau, Macmillan, Alzheimer’s Society, Willowbrook Hospice, Halton Haven Hospice and St Helens and Knowsley Carers Centre all of whom will be on hand to offer free information, advice and guidance on issues such as Lasting Power of Attorney, Advance Directives, bereavement, advance care planning, money matters and much more! Halton Carers Centre to hold Tea Dance Fundraiser

Apex Secures New Funding for Halton

Apex has currently secured funding to work with any woman who has had any dealings with the Criminal Justice System and lives in the Halton area. Apex works with women on a one to one basis helping them to overcome their barriers to securing employment. They also look at avenues to secure voluntary work or training. Apex's unique selling point is that they can offer specialised advice surrounding the legal aspects of their conviction and how best to disclose to an employer. It is crucial for their clients that employers are carrying out the right checks and that clients know if their conviction is spent or unspent. Nightstop Communities Sleepover Event

NCNW are holding their annual Sleepover event at St Pauls Church and are inviting all agencies working with Homeless people, Mental health and young people to come and promote their services at the event to raise awareness of these issues and the challenges that some people face on a daily basis.They are also this year promoting people to sleep out in tents as well as inside at the event and asking for people to get sponsorship for the event to stay the night. All sponsorship and monies raised will go into providing free Mental health services to young people, their families and the wider community...


New ‘Include-IT Mersey’ Project Aims To Get People Online

Include-IT Mersey is a new project, jointly funded by the European Social Fund and the Big Lottery Fund as part of its 2014-2020 Building Better Opportunities Programme.  The project will provide a personalised package of support to digitally excluded residents of the Liverpool City Region that are out of work to help improve their IT and online skills, confidence in using and practical access to digital technologies and, ultimately, support them towards and into employment. The project will be delivered by a partnership of 23* not-for-profit and public sector partners spanning the six boroughs of Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens, Halton and Wirral, with specific target areas in each borough. Led by Sefton CVS, in collaboration with VOLA Consortium members, local Housing Associations and Local Authorities, this innovative multi-agency partnership is founded on partners that really care about their local communities...
