External Funding for the Faith Sector in Halton - Challenges and Opportunities

Registration is closed for this event
This FREE half day event is for anyone who is involved in community activities linked to any faith based organisations.

Halton’s faith sector is large and diverse, and actively engages in a wide range of faith-based and social action initiatives to improve the quality of life of all residents of the Borough. Many organisations and groups have benefitted over the years from grants and other forms of funding support to deliver important and innovative projects. Halton Borough Council’s External Funding Team has a long track-record of collaboration with local churches and faith-based groups to identify and secure grant funding for many valuable and necessary projects.

There exist many opportunities for the faith sector to seek external funding to deliver new projects, in key areas such as heritage and conservation, church infrastructure, community development, improved local facilities, specific religious activities and wider partnership working.

The purpose of this event is to provide a forum to disseminate the current challenges and opportunities for Halton’s faith sector specifically in terms of external funding, to share best-practice from the experience of successful local projects and seasoned bid-writing practitioners, and to learn from all parties actively involved in the sector about future strategy and direction for taking the sector forward and maximising its collective external funding potential.
