What's the Story? Tackling Health Inequalities Conference

Join us at our Conference to celebrate, explore, and demonstrate the impact the VCFSE Sector has on the health equalities faced by the communities we work with.

We are delighted to invite you to this upcoming conference, at the World of Glass, to celebrate, explore and demonstrate the impact that the VCFSE Sector has on the health equalities faced by the communities we work with.

You will enjoy a comprehensive day of learning, where we will seek to strengthen collaborative efforts and drive conversations with a mixture of presentations, chats, workshops, and guest speakers.

We will welcome:

  • Dr Justin Hill CEO of YMCA St Helens and Chair of the local Inequalities Commission will be able to share some insights and highlights of the work of the Inequalities Commission.
  • Sally Yeoman MBC, Chief Officer at Halton & St Helens VCA will be providing some of the key VCFSE transformation work and the Liverpool City Region landscape for voluntary sector.
  • Ruth Du Plessis. Director of Public Health will be sharing her insights to the value of the sector in tackling health inequalities and creating health equity.
  • Miranda Clarke the Regional Development Manager for Coalfields Regeneration Trust will be offering an insight into moving from mining communities to influencing policy and creating change.
  • The Innovation Unit - Creating Impact, Reducing Inequalities & Transforming Systems! we are excited to have the unit with us to help lead and facilitate our workshops in which we will be exploring :
  1. EVIDENCING YOUR IMPACT - telling your story through quantitative and qualitative measures
  2. THE POWER OF STORYTELLING -  narrating the impact with the emotion of the lived experience

You will hear stories of lived experience by people who have faced extreme difficulty but with interventions from our sector have positive and inspiring conclusions to their journey.
