Launch of Trustee Forum Meetings for VCFSE Groups in Halton & St Helens

Halton & St Helens VCA are delighted to be launching an online meeting for Trustees or Directors of VCFSE organisations in Halton and St Helens. The meetings will afford attendees with the opportunity to share best practice and discuss concerns, as we all attempt to adapt our services in this ever changing climate of new rules and regulations.

The first Trustee Forum Meeting will be held on Monday 9th November via Zoom. It will begin at 6pm.

We’re delighted to announce that the guest speaker at the meeting will be Robert Nieri, Principal Associate from Shoosmiths Solicitors in Manchester.  Robert will be delivering a presentation entitled: “Equipping charity trustees to lead their organisations with assurance as we emerge from Covid-19.”

He describes it as follows: “COVID-19 is a crisis unlike any other we have faced as a country, presenting a new and varied set of challenges to everyone and in particular to the charity sector, which is facing greater need but with fewer resources. The presentation will provide charity trustees and senior staff with an overview of the responsibilities and powers of trustees, to outline governance issues that commonly arise in practice and to provide some simple strategies to help trustees run their charities as effectively as possible in these challenging times.”
