Firm Foundations Personal Development Programme

Firm Foundations is a short programme aimed to help people who are unemployed but don’t feel ready to find work as they may not yet have the confidence but still want to build on their skills and confidence. Other this time we will work with the group to explore in creative ways things like exploring your skills and experience, effective and positive communications and relationships, being enterprising and putting ideas in to action though action planning. There will also be an opportunity to have one to one development coaching sessions using exploring what matters to you and how to experience this more in your life.

WHEN: Every Wednesday - starting Wednesday 11th August and will run for 8 weeks (8 x full day sessions). Each session will run from 9.30am – 2.30pm – Travel expenses and lunch will be provided.

 

WHERE? Ground Floor Beacon Building – College Street, St Helens.

 

WHO: Open to anyone over the age of 19 and is currently unemployed. This programme is facilitated by 2 fully development coaches and facilitators with Halton & St Helens Voluntary and Community Action.

 

HOW: Each week will be a mixture of the facilitators giving a short interactive presentation, each person will have their own workbook each week that will have the info from the presentation included along with places and spaces to make notes complete short activities. Lunch will be provided by Plan Bee coffee shop based around the corner so we will order in the morning and you will be able to collect it at lunchtime. We will also be undertaking as part of this programme some creative activity and in the afternoons after lunch will be upcycling small pieces of furniture – taking something that is worn out/broken and giving it a new lease of life!!!
